Supported geometry
Convert Point, LineString, Polygon, multi-geometries and geometry collections. KML feature names are preserved; other KML styling and attributes are not. For GeoJSON, choose its actual input coordinate system. Standard GeoJSON uses longitude, latitude (WGS84).
Accuracy and formats
Lambert 72 uses the approximate Helmert transform from the existing Belgian coordinate tool, suitable for viewing and analysis, not cadastral surveying. KML always uses WGS84. Projected GeoJSON includes explicit CRS metadata and is not RFC 7946 compliant until converted back to WGS84.
Are my files uploaded?
No. GIS conversion runs with JavaScript and WebAssembly running in your browser tab. Your files are read from your device and the results are created on your device; nothing is sent to gratistools.be or anyone else, which is also why there are no queues, daily limits or watermarks. See the privacy page.
