About the Flemish address register
The Adressenregister (formerly CRAB) is the authoritative list of addresses in Flanders, maintained by municipalities and published by Digitaal Vlaanderen as part of the Basisregisters Vlaanderen. Each address has a persistent URI and ID, a status (proposed, in use, retired) and a position in Lambert 72.
This page uses two free public endpoints: the geolocation Suggestion service for autocomplete, and AdresMatch for matching a written address to register entries with a score. The JSON result shows the official address object you can store instead of free text. Addresses in Wallonia and Brussels are maintained in their own registers (ICAR, UrbIS) and the national BeSt Address service; they may not match here.
